Prof. Dr. Moazzam

Professor Dr. Moazzam is a distinguished educationist of Karachi, widely renowned for his firm dedication to academic excellence and his substantial research contributions in the field of chemistry. His illustrious career began in 1989 when he was appointed as a Chemistry Lecturer (BPS-17) by the Education Department of the Government of Sindh. This appointment marked the beginning of a remarkable journey in public service. Over the years, he steadily ascended through the academic ranks, earning promotions to the positions of Assistant Professor (BPS-18) and Associate Professor (BPS-19). Ultimately, he achieved the prestigious rank of full Professorship (BPS-20) in the year 2013, a testament to his commitment and expertise in the field.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Moazzam also served as the Principal of Adamjee Government Science College, a position he held with distinction until 2019. Following this, he was appointed as the Director General of Colleges Sindh, further showcasing his leadership abilities and dedication to education in the region.

Dr. Moazzam's academic achievements extend well beyond the boundaries of the classroom. He successfully completed his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical chemistry in 1995, solidifying his expertise in the subject. Over the years, he has published an impressive 40 research papers in various national and international journals, earning widespread recognition for his significant contributions to the fields of organic and medicinal chemistry. His work is highly regarded in the academic community. He has worked as reviewer and member of editorial board of certain research Journals. He has been working as a “Research consultant” at Industrial Analytical center University of Karachi.

He has served as a member of the Board of Governors in Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) from 2018 to 2020. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, United Kingdom since 2009 and the life member of the Chemical Society of Pakistan and has also served as a member of Board of Advanced Studies and Research, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Karachi further adding to his expertise and standing in the field.

Dr. Moazzam has been an active member of several social and welfare organizations dedicated to community service and humanitarian efforts He has held the position of President of the Karachi Intellectual Lions Club as well as the President of Social Student Forum.

Dr. Moazzam's expertise is also reflected in his authorship of the XI and XII Chemistry Textbooks, published by the Sindh Text Book Board. These widely used text books are known for their comprehensive coverage and clarity.
